Rough Hand Cut

Creates the look of beams used in warehouses and structures built in the 1900's. The surface shows the worn faces of years of exposure giving a sense of establishment.

The pit sawn process which dates back hundreds of years displays random saw marks and irregularities created from a long two-handled saw. Two men, one standing above the timber and the other below in the "Pit" worked together to cut the length of the log. This technique provides a unique and authentic texture full of appeal and character.
